The day of his birth, the famous smile of Stallone was the result of an incident with forceps. The accident also caused Stallone to lose a nerve, which left his completely speechless. Stallone was a troubled kid. His hostility towards his parents and resentment, eventually leading to the divorce of their parents, caused negative impacts on him as well as Frank. Stallone spent his childhood being in foster homes. Stallone was five years old when he was moved by his father into Washington, D.C., and opened his own beauty parlor. Stallone was a resident of Maryland for a long time, living with his father following his parents' divorce in 1957. Stallone was troubled as a child emotionally and academically. He was eventually expelled from a variety of schools.
